WHAT NEXT?
The Steps are now transformed into an accessible, barrier-free, multi-use public space for gathering, performances and community events.
For the last 5 years, as a celebration of this transformation, with the support of MCGM "Festival @ The Steps: A Celebration of Art+Community brought the community together and activated the space.
Festival @ The Steps has set St. Stephen’s Steps as a new landmark in the heart of Bandra with the local community taking the initiative to organise more regular events.

What to expect from us next:​

To implement some of the other urban regeneration proposals designed by @bombaygreenway for a better city.

To put up an exhibition of our 100+ proposals for the city, to create awareness about the possibilities in terms of accessibility, sustainability, inclusivity, alternative modes of transport, etc.

To provide maintenance, regular upkeep of the place, murals to be periodically repainted, park area on top to be revamped, to add lighting, landscape, etc.

To provide a platform and encourage local artists and performers. To create an inclusive environment for all ages.
